Safeguarding

The Governing Body at Manor Green Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Safeguarding is a priority in the school due to the vulnerability of the children that we teach.

Every pupil, member of staff and visitor deserves to be safe and to feel safe when at Manor Green Primary.  Safety of everyone is a priority for the Governing body, all staff, pupils and their families, volunteers and visitors, safeguarding is the responsibility of all of us.

Within our school safeguarding includes:

  • Child Protection
  • Online Safety
  • Preventing Radicalisation
  • Safer Recruitment of Staff
  • General Security and Safety of the School Buildings
  • Medical Policies and Procedures
  • Health & Safety and Educational Offsite Visits

We believe that the safety of everyone is a priority for our whole community including the management committee, all staff, pupils and their families, volunteers and visitors. We believe safeguarding is the responsibility of all of us.

“Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all practitioners should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child”.
