Federation Proposal

Manor Green Primary School and Manor Green College are proposing to establish a formal federation under a single governing board from 12th April 2027 (the start of the Summer term). The schools are proposing to work under a single governing board while retaining their individual school identities.

The governing bodies of Manor Green College and Manor Green Primary would like to hear the views of all stakeholders on the proposed federation.

The consultation will run from Thursday 22 October to 12 noon on Wednesday 16 December 2026.

Once the consultation has closed, the responses received will be carefully considered. Each school’s governing body will then make its own decision about whether to proceed with the proposed federation.

Paper copies of the form can be obtained from the School office.

Meet with Governors – Federation Drop-in Sessions

Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend one of our drop-in sessions with Governors to discuss the proposed federation of Manor Green Primary School and Manor Green College.

These informal sessions are an opportunity to ask questions, share your views and raise any concerns you may have about the federation process.

Drop-in session dates:

  • Wednesday 4 November 2026, 5.00pm–6.00pm
  • Wednesday 11 November 2026, 1.45pm–2.45pm

Both sessions will take place in person.   There is no need to book an appointment; simply arrive at the reception area of Manor Green College.

We welcome your questions and feedback and encourage parents and carers to take this opportunity to find out more about the proposal.

Winter Fair and Winter Lights

21st November:  Winter Fair and Winter Lights 3.30-7.00pm Join us for “An Ocean of Christmas Magic” as we bring a little underwater wonder to our festive celebrations!   This year’s Winter Lights will have an “Under the Sea” theme, creating a magical light trail for families to explore together. The trail opens at 3.30pm, followed by the Winter Fair at 4pm.   Make an afternoon of it: enjoy the lights, tuck into pizza, warm up with a hot drink and explore the games and stalls. With cold drinks and plenty more on offer too, there will be lots to enjoy as we come together to celebrate the festive season.   Our ever-popular raffle and tombola will be back, and we would be so grateful for donations from staff, families, friends and the wider school community. Your generosity helps make these stalls a highlight of the fair and contributes so much to our fundraising.   If you, or someone you know could donate a raffle prize, please speak to me or contact Laura at friends@mgprimary.co.uk. Every contribution, big or small, is warmly appreciated!

Dance to Make a Difference

7th November: Dance to Make a Difference 3–6pm Get ready for an afternoon of uplifting music, disco lights and plenty of smiles! Our recently award-winning Dance to Make a Difference event brings together a fantastic group of Zumba instructors for a celebration that everyone can enjoy. Led by Laura, Chair of the Friends, and Claire, these dedicated instructors have generously supported this twice-yearly event for the past four to five years. Their energy and enthusiasm make it a special occasion - and we are delighted that the event has recently received a local Crawley award! You do not need to be able to dance or follow a routine. It is all about joining in at your own pace, enjoying the music and having fun together. It is a lovely opportunity for our children, families and friends to share an afternoon full of energy and laughter. We will also be holding a raffle, with hampers among the prizes, and would be very grateful for donations to help fill them. The requested donation date is 18th September, but items can be brought to the school office at any time. Please see below for details:   Tickets are available from the school office or by emailing friends@mgprimary.co.uk . We would love to see lots of you there!
